For instance, when trying to access these dimensions, he might just find he's accidentally caused a rainstorm, spoiled all the Adamant's fresh food stores, or turned every tenth person in the basecamp bright orange! If he keeps trying, he may wind up accidentally de-powering himself as a consequence! Normal portals will also sometimes glitch out but will sometimes work fine. How curious...
