Hello! Please enjoy this puppy who may in fact be training for a circus act!
To answer your questions:
1) In order to remain mindful of our cast caps, all properties that fall under a single 'umbrella' will presently count towards that cap. This is to prevent any one franchise from dominating the game. So while Arrow is its own show, as is Legends of Tomorrow, as is Titans, apping Oliver Queen, Leonard Snart and Dawn Granger would mean that 3/5 of those 'DC universe' spots are taken. We may revise this down the line, but as we are hoping to start small and expand in manageable increments this is currently the compromise we have decided to strike.
2) In cases where the adaptation is very faithful its source material, we allow the use of supplementary materials to fill in the blanks as pertaining to a character's past, as we understand that time or budgetary constraints are sometimes the roadblock to these things being portrayed onscreen. However, if the adaptations are quite dissimilar or there are clear creative choices made to differentiate a character from their book/comic counterpart, we would discourage this as it may lead to castmates being put in potentially uncomfortable positions — an example of this may be the differences between Natasha Romanoff in Marvel 616 canon and Natasha in the MCU. Natasha having the Red Room backstory with Bucky Barnes in the MCU has never been confirmed and we would discourage players from utilizing it to portray an MCU version of Natasha. We would also not allow someone to play from one medium and then 'canon update' to another.
3. If a character requires more than 25% headcanon to adequately flesh them out or exists only to serve a single narrative purpose within the context of their canon we would not consider them to be appable.
4. We ask that in terms of speculative matters such as the uncertainty of a character's fate and how they spent their intervening time in-world that you stick strictly to what is shown in canon. Players may only select canon points where their character was shown to be participating in the scene. You would of course be able to canon update once the next Doctor Strange has been out for more than a month!
We hope that answers your questions, and thank you for the interest!
